  George, Steve, Roger and I really appreciated the time spent with you on Saturday, particularly the abundance of weather and running through the gorse, ouch!. It was just what I needed personally to put into practice in a live situation what I thought I already knew but obviously didn't. My confidence soared when we hit the corner of the distant wall which was out of sight until we gained the ridge. It was a real bonus to take in the variety of Dartmoor's mysterious ancient stone relics. We used the compass again on the Sunday to reach the summit of Yes Tor via the ford of Red-a-ven brook. For runners with an interest in map and compass your knowledge of Dartmoor and easy teaching style make a great combination.
